February 7, 2012 - Our zone at the temple this morning.
We have been having a lot of fun this week. We were blessed with an awesome new family. We contacted them as we were going into a dinner appointment with a member family, and they told us to come back on Friday. When we came back on Friday, their entire family was sitting, waiting for us to come. Two parents and three children (16, 14, 8), and they are an awesome family (the five of them go play 2 on 3 soccer on weekends). We had an amazing first lesson--one of the uncommon instances when the investigators say "Wow" instead of "the Bible says there can't be anymore prophets" when we tell them about Joseph Smith. They felt the Spirit very strongly, and gave us dinner to take home, on the first lesson. They asked us to come tutor their kids in math on Sunday, and fed us dinner again (keep in mind that this is our second lesson with them). They asked us hypothetical questions about what they would have to do to get baptized (always a good sign). And the father offered the prayer at the end of our first lesson, and prayed specifically that we would keep visiting them and that our first visit wouldn't be the last. Don't worry, sir--it definitely won't be.
